GENEVA · LEGAL & JUDICIAL WATCHDOG

Justice belongs to no one.

Geneva, since 2024. The Association for the Legal and Judicial Professions brings matters before cantonal and federal authorities, pursues its legal challenges up to the Federal Supreme Court and makes all its case files public. Entirely volunteer-run.

Active cases:ECAV. Election of judges in Geneva. SIG affair.

Parliament wanted your names. The court said no.

September 2025. Geneva's Grand Council tries to defeat AP2J's legal challenge against the reform of judicial elections. Its method? Demanding the full membership list. AP2J refuses and invokes freedom of association.

Six months later, the Constitutional Chamber rules. The association may litigate without revealing its members' identity.

"An association is a refuge — and sometimes a remedy."
